Being Scared

The town of Holcomb has about 300 people in the city. This city is in the middle of nowhere, so everybody knows each other within the city limits. Everyone is friends with each other. After the Clutter's friends heard about the murder they helped out their old friends by helping clean up their house, "They were wearing their oldest clothes. For, feeling it their duty, a Christian task, these men had volunteered to clean certain of the fourteen rooms in the main house at River Valley farm," (77). The Clutter family is one of the most highly respected families and the most popular family in the town of Holcomb. This murder sent a shock throughout the whole town. Once the town of Holcomb heard of this murder, the city became tramatized. No one could trust anyone anymore because they originally thought that someone who was good friends with the Clutter family did this. No one in the city of Holcomb feels safe now that this horrible event has happened to one of the best families in the city of Holcomb. It is unbelievable to see what one crazy event can do to one city of people. Because of this one decision to kill people by two murderers, it made people more aware of their surroundings. These killings have made everyone in Holcomb very scared. This has made two families in Holcomb leave the town of Holcomb. This murder has made people leave the city. Also, friends help out with the murder. The main person leading the people to find the murder is one of the Clutter's best friends. However, this murder has made everyone nervous and scared.
